AUDEMARS PIGUET • ‘Beyond Watchmaking’ Exhibition

Associate Designer for Sense Lighting

The Audemars Piguet “Ring” represents a perfectly harmonious marriage of architectural and entertainment driven design. Conceived and designed to be a traveling temporary museum, the nature of this project is entirely unique and requires lighting treatments from a wide array of disciplines. As a museum, the Ring must be lit like a beautiful building, showcasing the unique architecture as well as the fantastic array of watches showcased within, all while creating a comfortable and relaxing environment for the guests. However, as a temporary event and site for galas/dinners, it must also be designed with entertainment values in mind such as color changing features, lighting that changes and adjusts as the day goes on, and effects designed to enhance the art installations provided by other artists on the team. It is the marriage of these often separated disciplines, architecture and entertainment, that makes this an utterly singular work of art.
